This book is good stuff for beginners but intermediates can get
something out of this as well.
Keith Wyatt is the man to get you inspired.
So if you want to learn BLUES, get down to it and BUY this book.

Overall this is a good intro to playing the blues. The CD is done well and sounds good. If I had it to do ovewr agian, I would get an instruction book that includes a DVD.

I’ve been playing for six months so when I read the reviews it seemed like this would be a decent place to start looking into the blues. Half the book is easy enough for my twelve year old son and half is way past me. I just wanted to learn some popular riffs and a couple songs but this book can not deliver. Spend your money somewhere else.

The “book” part of this is good, IF you are already comfortable with a guitar.
I bought it because of the CD, I need the visual cues to help me along.
The CD is obviously taken from a video, and it seems to go off on it’s own little path right about Track 13. The information is intersting but it has little or nothing to do with what is printed on the pages of the book.
I have been using another computer based program that puts this to shame.
Don’t buy this if you want help from the CD, it won’t provide it.

This book, along with the CD (and/or Videos) is excellent. Keith Wyatt starts at the very beginning, and takes you up to intermediate material in progressive steps. If you work hard at it, by the time you finish this book, you will be quite accomplished. I played guitar years ago, and practicing 30 min to one hour a day, it will take me 6 to 9 months to master this material. It’s not easy, but then neither is playing blues guitar well. You have to work at it, and use the right tools.
This is one of the best tools for an aspiring blues guitarist.
